Welcome to Wonder Pets Pony Parties

Sparkles is a 14.2hh purebred Arabian horse who has lived with us since mid 2021. She was born in 2018 and despite being the tallest, she is our youngest pony. She is trained in liberty on the ground and looks magnificent performing her tricks. She is also extensively trained in cooperative care for medical and husbandry procedures. Sparkles is currently being trained to be ridden by Claire. Although Sparkles enjoys performing liberty tricks with lots of energy, she also enjoys joining parties for snuggles, grooming and going around our pony agility courses.

 Persephone is our newest addition (late 2023) and is a 12.2hh welsh pony. She is the same age as Chloe and was also previously used as a broodmare. She has experienced some very harsh handling in her previous home, despite this she is very forgiving and is settling into her new life with enthusiasm! She regularly astounds us with her desire to be the centre of attention, even when it involved scary things she needn’t do like “helping us” use power tools on construction projects and balloon twisting. She is currently undergoing physiotherapy as well as emotional recovery and is becoming stronger and more resillient every day.

Currently she is happy to join parties for grooming and painting, snuggles, obstacle courses and generally looking adorable. We hope she will feel comfortable enough to offer pony rides to children under 35kgs in the not too distant future. In the meantime we will continue to appreciate her for herself and where she is at.

Chloe is a 9hh registered “small horse” with a big personality! She was born in February 2015 and is our son’s special pony who has lived with us since early 2020. She is incredibly clever and loves learning complex tricks. Chloe is a really friendly pony, who would be almost as happy living in a house as out with her horsey friends. Chloe is currently our only pony able to offer pony rides, for tiny tots under 20kgs. She loves attention from all ages and excels at horse agility.

Wilbaa is a babydoll southdown x corriedale sheep born in 2018 and raised by his mother, Baabara. He and his twin Isabaa, who does not care to attend parties, were bred at our “farm”. Wilbaa shatters the stereotype that sheep are stupid and does almost anything a dog would, from fetching and tricks to shaking water off his coat right after he has stood next to you. He loves doing tricks almost as much as he likes eating treats!

Ewegenie is Wilbaa’s half sister of the same age and a very strong personality. She is Babydoll Southdown x Harlequin Minimeat sheep, she does do tricks but mostly she likes to eat treats, lots of treats!

Baarb loves a gentle ear scratch. We aren’t exactly sure how old she is, she joined our home in 2017. Although a little reserved at first, when you get to know her she is the smoochiest sheep. She is up for anything, from trick training to scratches.

Aroha is a Border Collie born in 2021. Her name means love in the Maori language, her nature is not much different. She loves everything and everyone, her favourite things to do involve jumping and running fast. She is part of our farmyard show and amazes people with her antics.

Poppy and Flick came to live here in early 2021 at 1 and 2 years old. They are Australian miniature pigs. They love to be stroked around the ears. They do some simple tricks but mostly they enjoy each others company and eat lots.

Tamiya does not attend birthday parties. She is a beautiful 10hh pony that we bought from a sale yard in 2019. The hustle and bustle does not appeal to her, although she is extensively trained at liberty she does not feel comfortable with strangers.

Teddy is the father of all our sheep except for Baabara. He and Isabaa prefer not to be around crowds of people. Isabaa is Wilbaa’s twin sister and they are as different in personality as they are in looks!
